to get on/off You get on/off: a bus, plane, train, motorcycle, horse.
Examples:
- When Bill got on the bus, he realized he had left his cell phone at the bar. He got off the bus, returned to the bar and luckily the bartender had his phone.
- Getting on a horse is now always easy.
- I broke my ankle when I got off the bus.
to get in/out You get in/out: a car, place, trouble
Examples:
- When you get in a car, the first thing you must do is buckle your seat belt.
- Of course, when you get out of the car, you must unbuckle your the seat belt.
- The thief pointed the gun at me and said "Get out of the car...now!".
- When a tornado is near, you should go to the bathroom for protection.
- When the front seat of a car is full, you get in the backseat.
- What time did you get in last night? (arrive)
