to grow / to increase |
Confusing!
Frustrating!
But with practice, you will learn it.
to grow
- think: size
- animals, plants, people
- to get bigger, larger
- Hair grows. It doesn't increase.
to increase
- think: numbers
- more of the same.
- You buy another car. Cars don't grow. They remain the same size; however, they increase in number. 1 car + 1 car = 2 cars = increase.
